Sweet Spot: Our Rotating Selection
Welcome to Sweet Spot - your go-to for a consistently delicious cup, with a seasonal twist.
Here's the idea: We've created a flavor profile we're obsessed with - smooth, balanced, and naturally sweet - and we source the best coffees that deliver it. Every few months, the origin changes, but the character stays the same. Think of it as consistency meets discovery.
A medium roast development is key to the magic. It tones down berry-like acidity while enhancing milk chocolate sweetness and deepening the richness and texture. The result? A coffee that works beautifully in your filter, shines in espresso, and honestly, just makes every cup feel effortless.
Whether you're someone who likes to know exactly what you're getting (same vibe, every time) or someone who enjoys a subtle seasonal change without the guesswork - this is your coffee. No fuss, no surprises you don't want. Just the sweet spot, rotating.
Our aim with Sweet Spot? Maximum sweetness, consistently smooth, with just enough seasonal variety to keep things interesting.
This season STAR:
Introducing Sweet Spot’s Rwandan chapter - a coffee from hills so lush that the Nyungwe rainforest and Lake Kivu both showed up to help make it.
This lot comes from the Cyato coffee station in Nyamasheke, Western Rwanda, where the Abadatezuka cooperative’s 256 members (half of them women) grow Bourbon on more than 110 hectares at 1,850-2,200 meters, right on the edge of the Nyungwe forest. Think rich black humus, sandy soil, and cool, wet air rolling off Lake Kivu - so the cherries dry slowly, which is exactly what gives this coffee its strong flavour, sweet aroma and impressive staying power.
The natural process brings out notes of cherry candy, blackcurrant, fig and almond - like a berry basket wandered into a candy shop and left with a bag of roasted almonds. It’s the kind of cup that makes ordinary feel very far away.
The sweet part? Since 2019 the station has been run by Tropic Coffee, and the cooperative’s well-organized farmer groups are trained in better farming - including protecting the pollinators that keep the whole ecosystem humming. So when you brew this, you’re not just getting a delicious cup. You’re supporting 256 farming families on the edge of one of Africa’s oldest rainforests.
Flavor Profile: Smooth, balanced, and naturally sweet - with just enough dark-fruit depth to keep things interesting.
